On a sunny Tuesday evening, I ran up to White City to meet Cookie and the lovely Mrs A, who had asked for our help trimming the hedges in her front and back garden. Cookie and I were both very excited to see that Mrs A had a handheld hedge trimmer, and we took it in turns to use this to trim the hedge at the front of the house. Cookie tackled the outward facing side of the hedge as well as the taller top sections, then collected together the trimmings whilst I navigated the brambles in the front garden to trim the other side of the hedge.

After making light work of the hedge at the front of the house, Mrs A and her brother Mr E showed us through to the back garden. The hedge here was much taller, and therefore a larger hedge trimmer was required. After Cookie kindly removed a dead pigeon from the long grass, we set to work with the handheld trimmer and the second one on a longer extension pole. An hour and half plus a full 10 bags of trimmings later, we were done. Mrs A and Mr E told us tales of their family in Australia whilst we collected together the bags and popped them at the front of the house ready for collection.

Before leaving, we encouraged Mrs A to get in touch if she would like further help with the brambles in the front garden, and with thanks said we were on our way.
