4 Goodgymmers (James, Becca, Jo and Trainer Simon) capitalised on the momentary break between thunder storms, and helped with our weekly Arc Centre Deep Clean.

The food bank has been in operation since the start of the lockdown, and has a tight crew of volunteers and local delivery helpers. Our job is to give the main delivery room and the kitchen a good clean and sanitise once a week.

Loads of donations have come in for the community centre this week, so we got to work with flattening cardboard fruit boxes to save space and enable easy recycling. After a full rearrangement of the room, we set to sweeping and mopping all the floors, and spritzing all the available surfaces.

The planting beds we worked on last week are looking really great! Gardiner Paul has started to as some young veg plants into the soil and compost mix, so we're looking forward to seeing how they grow.

Also, a quick advert for coffee lovers in the Islington borough. Big Shot Coffee have housed themselves at the Arc Centre and have a takeaway bar set up. They make fantastic drinks and delicious snacks, and are donating some of their profits to the food bank, so pay them a visit if you are in the area!
