It was like working in a winter wonderland today when we arrived at Pinewood Nurseries whose Santa's Grotto and Christmas Tree sales were in full flow.
Despite the recycling hub being closed to the public during the recent 4 week lockdown, visitors to the farm shop and nursery still dropped in plenty of recycling for sorting and even though our work area was different to accomodate the festivities, Kam and Jenny were soon feeling the 'crisp'mas spirit, sorting through and cutting the packets ready for Kam to take a batch home to wash out all prepped for sending on to the Crisp Packet Project.
Meanwhile Jen was getting her teeth into the biscuit wrappers and confectionary wrapper donations, which had somehow become mixed up in the bins so a good sorting was in order. There wasn't time to 'star't anything else in the time available so there are still a few 'tree'ts to sort through on our next visit. We even made our 'presents' felt and had some of the parents queueing for Santa come and ask about our work.
Ivy a feeling that there will be lots more recycling to make merry with next week.
