My first mission in Haringey brought me to the lovely Mr D's house with fellow Camden runner, Frances. Frances is nicknamed the mission queen by the Camden crew, so I was hopeful of a straightforward mission with her (spoiler alert: it was). I was also hopeful that, since we were in Haringey (borough of Tottenham Hotspur!), we could do the Dele Alli challenge. Unfortunately, time got away from us on this task, so it'll have to be Dele-Alli-ed until next time 😎👌

Due to some mobility issues, Mr. D is unable to do some of the more laborious gardening he'd like to in his beautiful garden. His garden was filled with weeds that needed to be removed (some of them having particularly persistent roots).

With strict instructions to be careful of Mr D's rose bushes, of which Mr D is especially proud, we set to routing the roots.

The odd thing about this task was how it felt like we were working on those weeds/roots for the whole of eternity, while time also seemed to run remarkably quickly. Also, although we weren't able to fully complete the task due to time constraints, the before and after photos really show the impact we had in the time available.

I'd like to give a massive shout-out to Frances for the work she did in digging out a lot of the roots with a spade (no shallow effort ;)). Hopefully we can return relatively soon and finish this task off! 😄
