Today was my second visit to Mrs. D. I cycled there and, very appropriately, she told me the story of her beloved bicycle. Her husband took her to the Cycle Shop one day without prior warning and asked her to choose a bicycle. She was thrilled with her present and put it to good use, to go shopping, to go to work and everywhere else. Until one day when she went shopping and did not tie her bike... She'd only gone into three shops, when she noticed her bike was gone!... Luckily, after a few days, somebody reported an abandoned bicycle to the police and she was reunited with her bike. Apparently, whoever took the bike only needed it to get home and abandoned it afterwards. Can you believe it?... She is such a lovely character, all I have to do is listen. Looking forward to the next visit and the next story.
