12 GoodGymers made their way 6km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.

Last night’s “heatwave” conditions saw a smaller-than-usual group arrive for the evening’s GoodGym task (rumour had it they were at the pub). Twelve dedicated runners made the 3km journey through Victoria Park to the Cre8 Centre in Hackney Wick.
"rumour had it they were in the pub"
Our task for the evening – to clear the area around a fire exit and make it nice and safe for Cre8 Centre users. Who last night appeared to be mostly happy drinkers, as the Centre is hosting an outdoor beer festival until October 11. Mmmm.... beer.... Parched and over-heated, we managed to tear our thirsty eyes away from the sixty-some beers on tap and dedicate ourselves to the task at hand. Teamwork was of the utmost importance, as we moved tyres and massive planks of wood to a safer spot in the yard.

A quick task, we then divided into two groups to head back to The Arch Gallery – a longer, faster run along the canal and a shorter, technique-based run through Victoria Park.
