On a surprisingly sunny spring evening, eight of GoodGym Redbridge's finest met to help Wanstead Community Gardeners and make Wanstead a prettier place.

This week we were excited to welcome TWO new runners to Goodgym Redbridge. A big shout out to Neha and Ellie who came along for first time and helped make the magic happen.

With the planned task of turning some metal bins into planters not materialising, the fall back plan was to meet with Marian from Wanstead Community Gardeners and help with reclaiming some of the unloved beds around the station. This involved sawing, digging and laying of paving slabs. With that task quickly complete there was time to plant some geraniums in the High Street and cut back a shrub or two.

As usual the task was done in double quick time which left plenty of time to take a social run around the streets of Snaresbrook and Wanstead.

And here's some kind words from Marian

Many thanks James to you and your trusty crew for this evening's activities. What fun! Marian.

Following on from last week's lost rabbit, this week we found Aladdin. If you've lost it then it's outside Wanstead Station!

Fancy getting involved? Well the planter task is back on for next Monday and you can sign up here.
