On a gorgeous spring night seven of GoodGym Redbridge's finest runners help reclaim some unloved land and made Snaresbrook a more beautiful place in the process. If that wasn't enough they ran 8km in the process.

With the proposed task of creating new planters with Wanstead Community Gardeners not materialising the group, joined by Ross on his first run [yay Ross!] headed to meet Marion to do a spot of guerrilla gardening next to Snaresbrook station.

Armed with rakes, trowels and other gardening paraphernalia the team cleared an unloved space outside Snaresbrook station - much to the amusement of commuters making their way home. Many hands make light work and within 20 minutes all the dead grass had been cleared away and wild flower seeds planted. In the coming months this will grow to be a beautiful spot and make the area a better place. Exactly the sort of task GoodGym loves doing.

With the task done it was time to head out to Epping Forest on a new 6km route around Eagle lake and the surrounding park land.

Another great task and one of the happiest groups in GoodGym no doubt. Join us next week for more goodness fun.
