Met Cathy at the address where she was talking to a neighbour of Ms M, who kindly lent us some loppers and a sweeping brush for the task. Then went in and greeted Ms M and her cat(!).

Went outside to check out the garden which was indeed very overgrown, with a plant growing right across the back door blocking access to the garden. We set to work clearing the extensive bindweed that had grown over the patio and the many leaves and other weeds covering the garden, even freeing a garden chair from a mass of bindweed. We also cut back the large plant blocking the door and some low branches of the fig tree.

We worked for a good hour and ended up with 5 full bags of leaves and weeds. Luckily the morning's rain held off and the sun even peeked out from behind the clouds as we were finishing up.

When we were done, Ms M invited us in for tea and biscuits and a quick chat, expressing how happy she was that we had come to help out. Overall a great mission!
