We dare you to say it quickly 5 times!

Welcome to the first EVER report of the first EVER GoodGym Barnet Track Attack! You’re a lucky reader!

We like stepping our game up every now and then in Barnet, and inspired by the original Track Attack session led by Simon Fitzmaurice in London Victoria, we have just done that! It takes just one to motivate a tribe.

Interesting FACTS about today’s 5km Track Attack;

  • There was actually no track! We could say it was TrackLESS Attack!
  • No runners suffered from loop dizziness; Each loop was 1km! 5 loops and ta-daaaaa you’ve got your 5km in the bag. That’s 7 loops less than on a track but still covering the same distance… mind blowing, right?!?!
  • There was an elevation gain of 41m; Trackless and flatness. We’re doing well.
  • EVERY single runner set their best PB time in today's 5km route. Enough said.
  • Immediate positive impact on our Mental Health* by 15% after the time trial and 30% after a good coffee & croissant.- *It's not based on accurate scientific data but rather on the level of banter, laughters and good chat over breakfast.

Biggest Shout outs go to ...in no particular order...: - Niki who managed a "hattrack" by getting out of bed before 9am, completing a run by 10.30am and attending a GoodGym mission on a Saturday (her favourite GoodGym day is Tuesday!). WOW! - Laura who TRACKed all the way up from the foreign Southwark GoodGym office to attend today's session. That's commitment! - Antonio for keeping us real after the run (we thought we were invincible after having set our PBs...) and bringing us down to earth with a most needed stretching session. Run Leader in his veins!

Disclaimer: There's photographic proof of this historic day. We know it sounds bonkers we've achieved SO much and have had SO much fun and we would understand if you find it hard to believe. That's why the moment the site is fixed, we will upload the pics!

We hope to grow our TrackLESS Attack tribe, and for that, we need you! We certainly know you need a TrackLess Attack in your life, so keep an eye out for the next one!
