Step aside Queen Boudicca (there seem to be many spelling varieties) - as last night two Queens and their merry men converged on Tollgate to battle dirt and grime on behalf of Colchester Foodbank!

The pre-battle preparation involved assembling with a war cry that Goodgym Colchester and Chelmsford are nominated for a 'Strengthening Communities' award courtesy of Active Essex, Essex County Council's team responsible for getting people active in Essex.

We had the high-ground as we warmed our muscles on the downward journey to Stane Retail Park and then attacked on three fronts - sweeping and wiping in a pincer movement to round up the dirt and then regenerating the Foodbank landscape with vacuuming and mopping.

We left the Foodbank in peace and strode back towards Dugard Avenue and our dwellings beyond the horizon...

VICTORY!
