Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Mridula Iyer
Good Afternoon Goodgymmers! Today I delivered some shopping for Mr. J who was sheilding due to an underlying health conditions. I gave Mr J a call before hand and we discussed his groceries.
Mr J has to have a very high calorie diet so his wish list consisted of snickers and bounty bars! I indicated to Mr J that he might be the only person on the planet who enjoyed those candy bars. He laughed and said I might be correct! I managed to get 90% of Mr J's list which was more as a result of budget constraints than availability and off I went.
I walked over to Mr J's house in about 15 minutes, but then proceeded to spend 10 minutes walking up and down his street trying to find his house. Finally I gave him a call to let him know I was lost, and as sod's law would have it, the minute he picked up the phone was the minute I realised I was standing right in front of his house. Am I the only person this happens to? - Probably. I've accepted this because my stupidity makes for more entertaining run reports.
I dropped off the groceries and contemplated not ringing Mr J's doorbell and running away like some kind of weird tesco going Santa, but decided against it. Also Mr J saw me coming and opened his door to say thank you.
I wandered home and took a moment to admire a cat who seemed to be as fed up with the lockdown as I am and was perched precariously on the window. I think he was socially distancing from his owners. I named him Holden Catfield, after another famous misanthorpe and headed home.
Stay safe goodgymmers!
