On our group run on Tuesday we ran and cycled to the Wheels For All shed by the Weir Archer Athletics track to give it its second layer of waterproofing. We originally went in winter on one of the coldest evening out so we were all relieved it was a warm and sunny evening. We arrived at 7pm and met Martel and Emily - they were getting all the brushes and things ready for our task ahead.

Adam went straight up the ladder to paint the higher boards of the shed as it was about 10ft high and none of our arms were long enough to reach. Julie, Jade and Claire stood in the warm sun and did the long side. Emily and Petra carefully painted round the doors where most of the rain would potentially hit but thankfully not tonight. Rachel went round the back of the shed for a rest - not really! She went down there to make a start on the narrow alleyway between the shed and the wall.

With so many hands we made great progress and managed to finish up within the hour. Go Team! Great effort and we rewarded ourselves by going to the pub afterwards for our monthly social.
