Six amazing GoodGymmers ran 6.5k to help make Hanwell Community Centre look just lovely!

It began on rather a drizzly evening but none the less Graham and Alex arrived looking nice and glowing from their pre-goodgym runs! Amazing!

We also had two noobs in the form of husband and wife super couple Gary and Suzy, it was lovely to meet you both! Here is what they had to say about their first time at GoodGym:

"As newbies to GoodGym, Suzy and I were not exactly sure what to expect. What we experienced was a warm welcome, a gentle run to dust off the cobwebs and get to know everyone, a different kind of dusting off at the community centre but equally sociable, a fun but effective strength and conditioning session, and a go at your own pace run back to base. All in all a great way to spend a couple of hours - exercising, socialising, and doing good."

Which sums up the run very well! It was a great laugh and I really enjoyed all the running chat we had!

We ran just over 3km there at a steady pace and on arrival we set straight into cleaning and tidying the place up! Then it was onto the workout! After a few super fun partner burpees and squat jumps we moved onto some dynamic warm up tips from Gary and had a repeat practice of the mega hard frog squuuaaats from Alex! Such a knowledgeable crew!

Then on the way back there was the sprint race challenge which saw Jonathan and Graham possibly running about triple the rest of us and quite possibly to a whole other district..

So once again such a fun evening with just a great bunch of people! If anyone fancies it next week then you can sign up here. See you there!
