What a brilliant night at the Park View care home this evening. We had two tasks to do this evening. One was a garden task and the other was to chat and have fun with some of the residents. The run to our task was around one and half miles. We couldn't of asked for better running weather either. The last couple of days has been just gorgeous. The runners arrived a few minutes before the walkers who i know don't like to be beaten to the tasks. We were welcome by the smiling friendly face of Lydia who was meeting Goodgym for the first time. She had two task waiting for us. One was to take down a gazeebo in the garden, the other was to chat with some of the residence. We split ourselves into two groups and got started.
WE SPLIT OURSELVES INTO TWO GROUPS AND GOT STARTED
I opted with the group going up stairs and it didn't take me long to get chatting and doing puzzles with two wonderful ladies. What great fun it was. Its really awesome when you feel that you are really making a difference to someones evening, especially when they ask when are you coming back to do it again. It wasn't long before the gazeebo team joined us up stairs and sadly it was time to go.
Let me tell you. There is nothing like the feeling of running back from a task with your crew knowing that you have really made a difference to someones evening. I was feeling that reward tonight. That feeling will stay with me for a long time. So, if you would like to experience the same, make sure you sign up and join us next week, we'd love to have you come along and join us . Till then Bexley............
