Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Liam Scott
A dreary Saturday morning was never going to deter our eager band of runners from attending the inaugural Eastville Parkrun. And what a Parkrun it was, as we lined up it became clear that the event was going to be even more popular than we thought , a total of 679 runners turned up - a massive success, so successful in fact that the sheer turnout caused some finishing issues as the stop watches only went up to 500!
The route was lovely, a first lap around the lower part of the park followed by a second, more scenic lap which took us around the edge of the Eastville park lake. This was followed finally by a third full lap of the park.
Of course the best thing about attending an inaugural Parkrun is that everyone achieved a personal best! I hope to see many of you there in the coming weeks. Afterwards we headed to Roll for the Soul for some well deserved coffee and cake before joining the group run.
