Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
28 runners, 3 tasks and a lot of cakes
Report from Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses
13 of us run toward Brockwell Park to help Tom in the Community Greenhouses, on the way there was a lot of photographers but unfortunately it was not for GoodGym runners but for some fashion models ... In the community garden, we split in 3 groups and do a lot of compost moving for 35 minutes! Hardwork! Then we run back in 2 different group one going straight to the start point, the other one taking is slightly longer route around the hilly park!
Report from Katie
We ran 2 miles up Brixton Hill to the Palace Nature Gardens, home of the best animal wall mural in Brixton, if not London.
A range of potentially dangerous tools were utilised very safely including scythes, hoes and loppers to rid the paths of brambles and clear overgrowth from an apple tree.
The run back home was downhill all the way and we all got to share one of John's delicious biscuits after his GBBO exit last week.
Report from Alex
8 speed demons ran to the Portico Gallery to help Colin, in John's absence, fill sacks with stones for either: a) holding down large tents and awnings b) naughty children's Christmas stockings
We learnt about the number of well known deceased buried at the West Norwood Cemetery, and keeping in the GBBO theme (currently being adopted by GGLambeth) Colin told us about making Mrs Beeton's blackcurrant jam with blackcurrants that had grown from bushes next to her grave... actually now I come to think of it that is a little weird... but I'm sure the Jam was delectable.
