Rachel and Sheila cycled to the Baby Bank and were joined by Gillian, and later by Nivi who delighted task-owner Rebecca by bringing some donations. Our main task was to sort the clothes donations for quality and then bag them up for age and gender. Rachel and Gillian got a good sorting system going whilst Sheila and Nivi re-organised the shelving storage system for the popular sizes. There are certainly plenty of baby girls' clothes available for referrals!. By the end of the morning we had redressed the balance a bit and sorted through a fair few boys clothes. It was great to catch up with everyone again

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
