Even A Used Mankini Has A value
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Claire House Hospice in Liverpool.

The lovely Sara at Claire House Hospice arranged a Super Sorting Saturday for their sorting centre and the intrepid Sophie, Emma, Sam and Matthew from Good Gym joined other volunteers to help sort scores of donation bags, ranging from some really high quality donations to what can only be described as people's rubbish. The great news is that even the worst of the clothing donations has a value as rag and so it was up to us to sort the items into rag, discount and high end goods as well as sorting through bric-a-brac. The first "find" of the day was a mankini, which let's just say had seen better days. So, it was not all plain sailing but to think that we are helping to raise funds through the selling of these items in order to fund a nurse, who will look after a dying child, puts it all into perspective and makes what we did so worthwhile. Many bags sorted later and it was job done but there are always more bags to sort so if you ever want to volunteer for them then Sara would be more than happy to see you and put the kettle on.
