This Saturday, 2 GoodGym runners woke up in the beautiful sunshine and ran towards The Platform space in Loughborough Junction. We were welcomed by Lucinda and Carol who had already worked their socks off and prepared the cafe for its face-lift. Armed with paint brushes, rollers and white paint, it took less than an hour to make a difference on the first half of the room.

During a short break in the sun, it was great to hear more about what The Platform was all about. It is such an amazing project for local people to try out their business ideas in an affordable space. This made us even more motivated to complete the job and help such a great project.

The 80's tunes playing inside the Cafe called us back in for an another hour of painting, finally giving the Cafe the second youth it deserved. Thanks a lot to Lucinda and Carol for their warm welcome. We can't wait to be back when the Cafe re-opens.
