š¦š»-Tim š©š»-Vix
š¦š»- Me and Vix went to help Mrs L unblock her drain, but when we got there Mrs L explained her drain had already been cleared but she did have a few other jobs that she could use a hand with. First was the patio, Mrs L gave us brooms, buckets, sponges and a mop and asked us to give it a little clean. We cleared the leaves, swept the patio and wiped the window sills. After that we decided the patio still needed a bit of a scrub, so while Vix poured cold water from a hight I scrubbed the patio leaving it looking magnificent.
š©š»- Highlights were definitely the roll call of potential pun names we rattled through inspired by our chats about favourite Christmas movies. Tim did a great Annie impression while scrubbing the windowsills and tiled porch floor - "scrub it like you ought, 'cause it's a good scrub life for us." His Oliver impression was spot on "may I have some more (suds and soapy water) please." Not directly on my feet though Vix, if you please. Vix was a bit of a 'Muppet' there! Tim ended with being a pretty "Fantastic Mr Mops" and the front porch was sparkling.
š¦š»- Next we moved on to sorting out the basement. Vix brought up the Christmas decorations and tried to assemble the Christmas tree, while I cleared a path in the basement so we could get to the electric meter to take some readings.
š©š»- The raid the basement portion of the mission was fully reminiscent of "we're going on a bric a brac hunt, we're going to catch big one." That one, being a sparkly black Christmas tree! We ended with some Shloer - the non-alcs sparkling grape juice drink everyone loves to love, which Mrs L had been keen to share with some friends but hadn't been able to open due to her arthritis. I think we made a big difference, and our lunchtime interlude gave us both some Christmas cheer.
