Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nicola Marshall
Tasks are a little tricky to come by at the moment but that didn’t stop us from getting back into the community for our weekly dose of Goodgym goodness.
This week, we met somewhere slightly different for a bit of a change of scenery. We met at the lovely St. Mary’s church where we set off for our pre-task run. Karen & Nicola, Maurice & Nigel set off on a 4K circular route, winding our way through the local village of Willaston. As usual, we put the world to rights along the way – happily chatting while getting our weekly dose of Goodgym fitness.
When we got back to the church, we collected our pickers and bags and set off. I’d noticed quite a lot of rubbish around this area in the past couple of days – predominantly due to the recent storm that had passed through the village, making its presence felt. We took a bag each and although they weren’t full to bursting, we impacted the local village by getting a considerable amount of litter off the streets.
The pinnacle of the evening had to be the refreshments from Benny’s at the end. Benny’s chips are simply the best and we devoured them as we stood outside the chippy at the end of our task. Mmmmmm.
As usual, the evening was spent in great company, with lots of banter and laughter. It really is a wonderful tonic and I can highly recommend it to anyone! And if you haven’t joined us for a while, maybe this will serve as a good reminder of the fun, fitness, friendship and feel-good factor that is always guaranteed on a Goodgym night. Maybe you’ll consider joining us again soon 😊
Thanks for being so amazing guys. You never fail to brighten my week.
Love & hugs Nicola xxx
