What an evening! When the heavens opened at 6pm, I doubted how many lovely GoodGym runners there would be but tonight 9 hardy souls set off to garden for Emmaus. This week it is also Volunteers week celebrating all volunteers :)

Now, this was our longest run out so for Hannah, on her first GoodGym it was a tough task. With Alan, and his new task force member status keeping her company though, this was no problem.

Heading out to Emmaus, the rain clouds cleared and it soon became hot and humid- extra layers were not needed.

At Emmaus house, having been greeted by Geraldine we started weeding and turning over the soil in the flower beds and planting new wild flower seeds and poppys. Supervised by the local feline and equines.

As it was such a long run back, we incorporated in some 'Fartlek' or speed play to break the distances down and before long we were stretching back at Drapers.

All the best for those running at the weekend, including Alan at the Two Castles 10km.

See you all next week, Liz x
