  • A another Big well done to Anne who completed the Vitality 10Km on Bank Holiday Monday. She is a Super Woman!
  • Well done to James who competed in his first Half Marathon... there is no stopping you now.
  • If anyone is interested in the pretty muddy race for life 5km it would be great to have a group of GoodGym Members signed up. Check it out here.
  • July 13th - 14th - We are looking to get a group of us together for trip to Cadair Idris in Wales. It will involve some camping and hiking.
  • Don't forget if you are keen for the Nuts Challenge in September - please speak to Wayne.
  • It's a quiet weekend this weekend for racing. We are away so there will be no hill training tonight. It will be back on next week for some more hill action!

Last night's action

With a gentle 2km to the Church along the canal and into the woods were we met a Wayne who was waiting for us.

Last night we had the pleasure of returning back to all saints parish church. It's been almost a year since we've been here. Last night we were welcome by Adrian and his parents who knew exactly what they wanted. First job to be done was hoovering, Mandy kindly offered to stay inside and hoover the hall. The rest of us split up into teams, myself, Florent, and Abbie heading to entrance of the drive to clear the bank of ferns and leaves. With Leo, Wayne, James and Owen clearing the weeds from the back garden area. It goes to show how much you can get done with plenty of hands.

On the way back along the canal we spiced it up a little with some Fartlek training. 20 secs sprint follwed by 30 secs easy, all the way back down the canal. By the end I was struggling to Shout start and stop and time using my watch!

Thank you everyone for coming!!

next week

We are heading back to the allotment to check up on our veg and weeds. Remember if you would like to grow anything then please let us know.
