Another visit to Mr A's and all prepared for the now familiar routine. I'd even done a scouting trip the day before whilst on another mission to check that Sainsbury's had got a new delivery of mashed potato in (they had) ready for Mr A...

Now clearly all volunteers retain complete (political) impartiality, but I was somewhat bemused to find that instead of his usual copy of the Guardian, Mr A requested a copy of the Telegraph instead this morning - whether this was connected to the earlier by-election result only he will know...and I certainly wasn't going enquire further.

Mr A also asked for a particular brand of Brown Bread which could only be found on the shelves of his local Waitrose, so a quick detour along the road was needed to ensure his list was complete...I'd like to think Santa would have been proud of this little Elf's efforts.
