Last night we were back at Cultivate London, an amazing charity that repurposes unused land in West London and provides training for young people. It's a regular task for us, and we've been supporting the work they do and learning about plants as we go. Kind of.

We had two jobs to do yesterday - shifting compost across the nursery to make a new raised bed border, and weeding pots of plants ready for them to be planted out. While the composters got stuck in with spades and barrows, the weeders had the more technical job hand sorting weeds from plants.

Then we had a socially-spaced run back to Turnham Green where 6 of us had a special Will-themed fitness session in celebration of his birthday. Except Will may have felt it was less a celebration and more a punishment as he found himself sprinting across the green quite a number of times. Sorry Will and happy birthday to you!
