On a sub zero night in Deptford 9 intrepid runners brushed of the running rust and worked their way to an improved running form.
First the first session on 2017 we ventured to a new area for Fitness 4 All and were greeted with Lewisham’s finest, we focused on a few key areas of running form this week and will be incorporating new focuses each week.
This week was all about foot strike position trying to get us to land more towards the mid to fore foot and the drills helped that to happen ever so importantly underneath our bodies centre of mass. We touched on how our arms worked while running and working in a straight line all for the very important reasons to improve our running economy so we can run more efficiently while being kinder to our bodies.
