Bath's Organic Garden is a bit of a hidden gem. Dedicated volunteers work the plots and orchards to the accompaniment of birdsong and children's laughter from the play park next door.

Our task was to create a wicker fence to screen it from the busy and polluting Upper Bristol Road and the team set to with a smile.

Rob fetched and trimmed the longest branches he could find while Mark and the Emilies wove them into a fence - with Ruth helping both tasks.

Kate the supervisor treated us to some delicious organic apple juice and later let us off early as we'd worked so hard, we'd used up all the wood.

Kate was very pleased with how well we'd done and we were pretty proud - the different types of wood - including hazel, willow and bamboo - made it quite a work of art and not of-fence-sive at all.
