Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
The thunder rolled, the lightning crashed, and 8 brave souls ventured out in the storm to run to the lush oasis of Easton Community Garden. The weather was hot and steamy, and we soon worked up a sweat… but that didn’t matter as shortly after we started, a massive downpour drenched us from head to toe. It was a bit of a baptism of flooding for our newer members!
Once at the garden, we quickly set to pulling up nettles, shifting compost and weeding some beds to prepared for new crops. Just as we’d dried out an almost apocalyptic storm hit us, saturating us once again. We retreated into the beautiful wattle and daub shelter and watched the rain water the garden whilst the thunder rolled on. As it died off, we resumed our tasks with a little more vigour, as we were running out of time.
The rain eased for our run back to Roll for the Soul, where we had a good stretch. Big thanks to all the heroes of the Easton Thunderdome!
