Report written by Richard
Four of us signed up for the food packing mission. Soon after we start the mission the Fare Share van arrived. We unloaded the van and we were split to two. The first group did sorting the food and made a list. The second group did some gardening around the church. We cut the grass and weeding. They were grateful for our help. We were nicely treated with tea as well.
The Borough Food Cooperative opened in October 2020. With help from organisations like FareShare, the Borough Food Cooperative acts as a subsidized supermarket, offering members to stop in and pick up £15-£20 worth of groceries for £4.50. The Cooperative is open during lockdown to provide essential supplies to local households
