Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
We did feel a bit mad at first watering plants at Mobile Garden City (a community garden and growing space in the Olympic Park) in the rain last night, but despite the grey skies there was only a brief shower, so our efforts were definitely worthwhile.
In addition to the watering we also helped shift some benches, some compost and cutting back lots of mint plants.
Tasks all done super quickly we started flipping: Each of us took a turn to toss a coin while the others predicted heads or tails. Those who predicted correctly got to do an easy exercise while those who were wrong had to work hard for 30 seconds. We had jogging, running high knees, ankle rotations, shoulder stretches, burpees, press ups, arm swings and sit ups. Can you guess which were easy and which were hard?
With our tossing done we got stuck into a relay around the gardens. First time was 2:21. Not bad, but reckon we could do better, and we did! On the second attempt a 2:14 was achieved. Shows what you can do when you put your mind to it.
Nicely done everybody. And it looks like Brahma got another PB! Will he be happy with this one? Ask him next week
Always fun to visit Newham. See you soon,
