Report written by Kim
It was time for one last trip to Florence Green to clear any weeds and grass that had sprouted up around the hedge saplings.
It's a shorter run to Florence Green but all up hill on the way there. We arrived to find Jacqueline already getting a head start on the weeding and Abi timed her arrival perfectly to match ours!
Tools assigned, perfecly sized for everyone, especially Abi's! And then it was onto the task, everyone spread across the many hedges and before we knew it we were done!
It was a lovely downhill run on the way back and chat whilst we did our cool down.
See what happens when I'm left in charge of one of the big lights...the run report photos are basically all you looking at me wondering why I'm carrying the light around.
Anyway, onto next week, there is no promise of better photos as it's a dark outdoor task but we are heading back to the Refugee Allotment to continue clearing the space.
P.S. Thanks to Oli for providing the pun as usual but it would ideally have another word or syllable in it, so any ideas post in the comments!
P.P.S. Sorry the run report is so late!!
This is a co-project between two community groups - our aim is to create a sustainable green space for both our community groups to share, improve community relations, increase friendships and less isolation to enhance wellbeing.
