Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Tonight we ran around 5km to spread the word about Croydon’s Neighbourhood Watch

This was the first run of 2017 and we had lots of excess festive cheer to burn off. It was bitterly cold but dry and clear and we did warm up pretty quickly as we headed off to the Broad Green area to leaflet drop. Splitting into 4 teams we managed to deliver around 450 leaflets in record time which meant we were able to take a longer route back and spend longer on the fitness task which this week was everybody’s favourite “Head or Tails”. Basically if you call correctly then you get the easier exercise and if not then it’s the harder version. Dasha made an impressive start by getting the first 6 calls right - she should maybe be picking our lottery numbers for us! There were some impressive burpees but less impressive balancing especially when eyes were closed.

Geoffrey and Nadine joined us for their first GoodGym run tonight and both did really well – so hope to see them back again soon.

Next week we should be heading off to Croydon Arena to take on a task at the athletics track and then have a session there ourselves so really looking forward to that. Don’t forget to sign up.

To make up for the missing runs in December there are two Starter runs in January at the weekend so please sign up and feel free to bring family or friends along. They are particularly suitable for those who want to see what GoodGym is all about or who may be worried about the running bit

Sunday 22nd of January and Saturday 28th of January.

Have a great week and hope to see you all next Tuesday.
