Another beautifully bright wintry Wednesday, nice and brisk, perfect for a flyering task for Cody Dock. The team left Print House at 7pm, I intercepted them at Cody Dock as have a battered leg from a car crashing into me, no running till next week a sensible option.
We took our flyers from Basia, even got to say hello to Simon too. We had a quick skim over the map of the roads that were allocated for Frost Fair info, then broke into two teams. The runners took the roads of the northern sector, courageously utilising their aerobic wealth, the walkers, or as Sharon succintly put it 'the old and sick', took the southern sector.
We carefully honed our technique of pushing the 'not spam' flyer through the letterbox, without tearing it, and equally importantly being swift enough to avoid the inevitable rabid pitbull waiting to eat your digits for dinner. Personally was good to have a nose around the area and have a natter with Kev and Sharon. Hope the North Sector clan had a good eve too, never got round to hearing about your 'system', I'll wait impatiently to hear its merits.
Good to see you all, some of you briefly, but nice nonetheless. Great work spreading info about the community happenings and hopefully bolstering numbers for Frost Fair.
Please see community missions for this Sunday if you have any time help at Frost Fare.
Next week, Richard would love us to lend a hand back at Crisis, sign up here if you're up for some warehouse fun.
Till then,
B
