Tonight is the GoodGym Social and it's taking place upstairs at The Court on Tottenham Court Road. There will be International Pun of the Month, Treasure Thursdays (bring your bling) and more! Find out more and sign up here.
Last night we celebrated a man who has been doing good since June 2016 and smashed the 200 good deeds marker a few weeks ago (we just haven't seen him since!). He's done an amazing 524 runs in that time and given 3237 cheers on the website. What a man! It's Dom Tooze! Click on his profile and give him a cheer here.
Last night was also a huge milestone for Vic Cartwright - she's been doing good since April 2017 and technically she's a Lewisham runner but we were delighted to have her for her 100th good deed! In that time she's done 574 runs and given 4824 cheers. Core blimey! Click on her profile and give her a cheer here.
Next week we're going to Nunhead Cemetery, exact task to be confirmed. It'll be awesome. Find out more and sign up here.
That's enough of the business
Last night 7 runners ran the 1km to Nunhead Salvation Army where we were met by an 8th surprise helper. We cracked on with the massive donation pile in the storeroom upstairs. This involved bringing bags down to the stage area, setting up a sorting table and sorting things into labelled piles. This time there was more need for the recycling bags!
These donations will be used either in the growing charity shop space or given to homeless people. Particularly crucial were the outerwear and bedding piles for the homeless. We sorted for 45 minutes - helped out by Spotify's '80s workout' playlist and Dom's official sorting hat.
Cheese! Stiff breeze! Watch out there are ten bees!
We ended up with 15 bags ready to go back up to the storeroom all folded and labelled. We're making cracking progress and hope to come back soon!
Great work team, see you next week.
