A big gulp it was indeed when James and Linda first saw Mr W’s “garden”. As soon as we got the back door open we were confronted with a forest of brambles almost as tall as us (and we are not short people) that stretched the breadth of the garden and for all we knew the length too! Not deterred we selected our “weapons” from a good selection of decent tools and commenced the battle of the brambles.

James got stuck straight in with the cutting back, Linda concentrated on clearing the sideway of weeds, rubbish and broken glass then assisted James who was already making headway into the brambles. Sadly some spiders and snails will now need rehoming 🐌 🕷

It became clear there was no way we would finish the job in one session and knowing Mr W had a rubbish collection tomorrow we bagged up as much as we could and took it to the front yard. We tidied the tools out of the way for Mr W as he clearly has mobility issues and suggested he books another session.

It would be good if we could do a further session and hopefully we can drum up some reinforcements to the team next time as it is more than a two person job to get it finished.
