The aim of the session was to try something new, push yourself to go further, faster, or both.
9 GoodGymers taking part took it to another level. See below what people were up to.

Pauline barely ran since March due to injury and today she was kick starting her running again by aiming to run as far as she could. Part way through the run Pauline received a call from a local school asking if she could help with a community mission. Being an exemplar GoodGymer she featured that in her run. She was at about 10 miles and nearing home, when she decided to try for a half marathon and gues what, she did it! Pauline ran 13.06 mile!

Briony usually runs on main roads and wanted to try the challenge of the mud! She went on a 30min trail run. Despite mud and ice she managed to stay upright, even the rouge bramble didn't stop her.
- Due to icy roads Ed and Amy decided to stay in, but not to watch telly and be sat on sofa, nah. Amy smashed 200 weighted squats and Ed did 200 press-ups in the same time.
- Earlier that day Nicola and Richard ran the popular Siward's Hill segment. They both beat their PB and Nicola become a LOCAL LEGEND in the women ranking! She is now wearing the well deserved crown.

Tim went for a run in a new area.
- l haven't ran a half marathon distance yet and my challenge was to do exactly that. Melting snow on the path by the river created slushy puddles which made my shoes very wet, then while trying to navigate a stile between fields I landed on my bum. 'Fortunatelly' it was a soft landing in the mud. At 16-17km mark I had a bit of a crisis, but I carried on. At 19km I increased my tempo for a good finish, at 20km I thought that I started fast too early, but managed to sustain my pace and finished the thing at 2:05:17.
There were few other Yorkies who have challenged themselfes today.
Cara went for her first ever run in the snow, while Andy cycled 162km on an exercise bike, achieving his furthest distance recorded on STRAVA.
Keep clocking KMs towards the Jan Challenge folks.
