2 Goodgymers help the 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts with some gardening maintenance.

This mission was very conveniently placed as it just so happened to be in St Nick's park, where we start a lot of group runs. Unfortunately, one out of two of our runners happened to be recovering from surgery so couldn't run to the location so James got a quick few laps in while we waited for the task owner to arrive.

Not long later, Hazel arrived to show us the ropes and we got to work laying cardboard of the grass area behind the scout building to stop the weeds coming through. Despite the large area, we made quick work of this part of the task so we went ahead and cleared some grass from the entryway. That's when James discovered two little frogs huddled under a pile of leaves, narrowly escaping being swept up with the garden waste!

After a few more trips to the wheelie bin, the entryway was looking much clearer and we called it an evening. Unfortunately that's precisely when the heavens decided to open up on us and it was a mad dash back through the car park. Nevertheless, it was a lovely time helping out with the Sea Scouts and we hope to be back soon!
