This evening we ran between 7 and 8km to the glorious Grangewood Park

So last week it was so hot that we cut short our fitness session and this week it was so cold and wet that we were in dangerous of hypothermia! Still, we had a task and we were determined to completed it. Dom lead 3 runners at a cracking pace along to the park and Juliet ran at a steadier speed with the other 3 – both groups got wet! At Grangewood Park we were met by the lovely Van and her shaggy damp dog and given bags, gloves, litter picks and some clever contraptions which held the bags open for us – we are easily pleased! We headed in pairs round the playground, tennis courts and in and out of bushes picking up the litter. We headed back, again in two groups, and picked up Maddie on the way who had been doing a task with Rachel in a nearby street.

Once we got back to Solutions we headed inside for a quick stretch, shook the rain off and then headed to BoxPark for our monthly social. Tasty food really does help warm you up from the inside.

Next Tuesday’s run will be back to a school in South Croydon. We will be painting and playing in the playground afterwards so hope to see you all there.

Don’t forget to sign up to run, volunteer or cheer at South Norwood Parkrun on Saturday 15th of July. Remember you need to register with parkrun itself to get your barcode too.

The coffee and chocolate was because I deserved it once I got home!
