Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Peter Van Tongeren
Things didn't bode that well this Sunday morning, grey clouds & a steady drizzle not the best invitation to get out there to run a 10k. But actually it also means less chance of getting too hot! Each cloud etc...
Arriving at location the 'Sikhs in the City' team had set up the course and the run director took part of the group through a warm-up to make sure they were ready for both the distance as the slopes involved - 5x 2k meant 5x up the slope!
10Am on the dot the Mayor gave the starting signal and off we went, race director counting the laps and calling out the runners by name, nice touch! The field spread out along the course, each going round at their own pace, either battling the course & weather or going round putting the 'fun' into fun run with various santa style costumes.
All in all a bit of fun on the Sunday morning, a bit of a shame that the event wasn't published / promoted more!
