When Finsbury parkrun made an announcement for volunteers over the Bank Holiday weekend, Goodgym Islington, Camden and Hackney heeded the call! Many parkrun events (all volunteer led, free weekly 5km time trials in local parks) were really struggling with finding marshals, barcode scanners, funnel managers, tail walkers and time keepers to allow their runs to happen, but Finsbury parkrun were in a much stronger position, Thanks to the abundance of Goodgym assistance!

After a smashing morning of parkrun fun, we walked out way over to Blighty Café on Blackstock Road, an English breakfast place with a commonwealth twist (seemingly appropriate for the Jubilee celebrations over the weekend). Mid way through our meal, Toyin presented an amazing cake and sparkler combo to celebrate Alex's 100th good deed. What an awesome way to start the weekend!
