Despite cloudy skies, the rain held off whilst Richard and I met up in Fishponds to help the wonderful Ms C in her back garden.

Richard set about chopping back some brambles and holly that had crept over Ms C’s fence from the alleyway behind, using a combination of loppers, shears and stepladder to great effect.

Meanwhile, I moved the lawn and strimmed the edges with Ms C providing support in bagging up the waste.

Next it was time for a break and a chat with Ms C over a cup of tea and some rather lovely homemade banana fritters, whilst discussing the virtues of air fryers.

Part two of the task saw us trim a small box hedge, clear up and pop the bagged up garden waste in Ms C’s bin.

Kudos to Richard for todays pun!

A rather nice way to spend a Sunday morning 😊
