Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

Last night we took to the local Stratford streets for our good deed of the week. we made our way out of the park and met up with the lovely Candy from Community Links at Play, Sow and Grow. This was our first time working with Community Links and we are keen for it to be the first of many.

Candy gave us a run down of the schemes in place and spoke of the general greatness that the organisation brings to East London. So armed with festive flyers, gloves and the will to keep warm we split into two respective groups and set off on our task of going door to door to deliver the flyers.

A short while earlier I had announced my fear of cats and dogs to the group and my desire to get in and get out of each house swiftly so good old Sod's law kicked in and within 5mins I found myself in the heart of a cat fight in someones front garden……so…….Good job for posting that flyer Simon (your bravery has been duly noted)

After a good 40mins of posting our limbs were starting to get cold so it was the perfect time to wrap it up and head back to the park for a short conditioning circuit which involved lunges, star jumps and some make shift hurdles and a swift 1.6k lap of the canal.

Good job team, same time next week….please tell a friend to tell a friend to tell another friend and then bring a friend…Simples!!!

Kirsty
