Such a beautiful day for our fortnightly visit to the SHP Allotments. We all participated in active travel, three of us arrived by cycle and one walked.

We had no instruction from the task owner so used our initiative and decided to weed the beds and paths between. Having picked our socially distanced places and chosen our weed defeating weapons we set to work.

Its always surprising to see just how much you can get done in an hour. Its also surprising how quickly that hour goes as we chat our way through several topics not only finding common ground but learning new things about each other and the world in general.

Pretty soon two beds and the middle path were cleared. All in all a very pleasant session.

Good shout on Jem’s part suggesting earlier start time. Might change future ones too, as long as everyone who’s signed up is OK with it.
