Getting Mr K home
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Saturday, 19th of February 2022
One sunny Saturday afternoon after a stormy night and Jo's 250th parkrun, 2 GoodGymmers went to help get Mr K's home ready for his discharge from hospital. Our task was to dismantle an old table from the downstairs room to make room for a hospital bed. With Jo's handy electric screwdriver it took no time at all and then we did our best to-me-to-you up the stairs. Putting the table back together again was a little more complicated, but we rose to the challenge. The task was quickly completed and we spent some time chatting to Mr K's partner and her daughter. We also got a cuddle from Oliver the very fluffy cat! Task complete and we're happy in the knowledge that Mr K and Ms E (both in their 90s) can enjoy their home once again.
