It wasn't your usual 'wild' party, but there was cake and a hound who howled at a hot air balloon!

After greeting Jessie, the welsh terrier, Katie and Nicola got stuck into drawing their chosen Safari beast. Katie went for an intricate zebra, taking care with every stripe. Nikki showed she was a cat woman through and through, expertly layering up one lonely leopard. Whilst I, well, I'm more of slap dash lion tamer, primary school style! There were a few near misses when Nikki's hummus sat right next to the yellowing paint. And hot coffee and paint water can look very alike! So a lovely time was had, discussing crafts and Kenyan wildlife accompanied by a gentle recital by by the local robin.

This leopard is way too long.'

How many toes do lions have again?

Nikki and Katie definitely deserved their warm apple cake on a chilly afternoon. A roaring great thank you to you both.

Your talents will be 'spotted' by lots of local kids on South Bank Safari, 24th-28th October.
