This week's virtual training session focused on strength and conditioning suitable for runners.
Sometimes as runners, we concentrate on the bit of our fitness we think is the most important - the running! But we need to take a holistic approach to health if we're going to be the best runners we can be and stay injury free. That's where strength and conditioning comes in.
12 lovely GoodGymers plus 2 bonus family members joined this week's session and while it wasn't as cardio heavy as usual, I bet they can feel their efforts this morning! The workout included a brief warm-up followed by lunges, squats, single leg dead lifts, glute bridges, side and front planks, modified bicycle (aka laying down running legs), calf lifts and more. We finished with a lovely series of stretches.
Thanks so much to everyone who joined the fun and worked hard!
Next week I've set a Strava art challenge plus, you're invited to join GG Croydon's 4th Birthday fitness session. Ohhh eeee, that's double the fun!
P.S. Last chance to support NHS workers with this GoodBakery Community Mission.
