With my Age UK Buddy JJ seemingly getting a little bit more deaf by the week I decided to run the 5k to JJ’s home and do a doorstep, socially distanced, personal visit. I thought this would make communication easier but soon realised the 2 meter distance was also a hinderance to communication. It was still lovely to see JJ looking so well and JJ was clearly pleased to see me. We are both looking forward to when we can have a proper sit down chat together.
