14 FABULOUS FITTIES: Ran for miles, to sort the piles, of clothes for Sally, ooh de lally!
Lots of fun was had at housekeeping, where we relished in the new faces we were delighted to be meeting. Along with newbies the oldies did crowd, ready for the tasking, to make Peckham proud!
So out we went, bang on seven, off on our adventures to volunteer heaven. Not one, but two big hills were climbed, to reach our destination in time. The group ran strong, with Sarah at the rear and up in front Rob leading the steer.
At last we arrived happy as larry, to help our dear friends at the army of sally. Janet our host thought we were barmy, but of course as well, ever so charming.
Because we arrived feeling glad, excitement in our hearts, for we couldn't wait to even start, the sorting of winter woolys and mountains of clothes, 'what size is what?' Nobody knows!!
From snazy onezies, to winter knits, sandles for summer and sporty kicks. Socks and shoes for warming feet, hats and scarfs to make outfits complete.
Hanna worked hard, whilst sporting a bib, while Coops and Ellie dressed up as Spiderman's kid. Everyone else folded and speedily packed, the clothing a plenty into boxes and sacks.
Oh how the time flies when you're having fun and before we knew it the tasking was done. So off like superheros we flew into the night, ready to tackle the last hill with all our might!! Chatting and laughing all the way home, with joyful banter setting the tone.
What a wonderful chance to run with friends, oh how we wished the night would never end. Awesome Goodgym in all its' glory, join us next week to be part of the story.
See you next time!!!
