7 Goodgymmers partied until the early hours*, celebrating the Westbury Banks Nature Reserve's FOURTH Birthday. Awwww, they grow up so fast!
We had unfinished business having managed to put the WESTBURY BANKS part of the sign back up on the fence a couple of weeks back - today's order of business: NATURE RESERVE.
Our Goodgymmers made light work of the signage action until we ran out of cable ties. A quick run from Gramps to the Poundshop and some heavy duty gardening later, we were back in business and the Reserve was complete again. Literally. A brand new shiny sign was back in its rightful place.
The letters had come down during the first iteration of the lockdown and were painted by local kids (having been hand delivered by GGHaringey runners, of course!). Due to current restrictions, the artists weren't able to be there but at some point this summer, we'll all come together for a massive celebration and photo session. There will be cake! We can't wait.

"The Westbury Banks Nature Reserve is a community lead project to transform derelict land into a nature reserve. All work on the site is on a voluntary basis and the management of the site is done free of charge! There are big plans to install a storage unit for the equipment, a mural, a log path with wood chipping, a pond for amphibious for wildlife and a grand insect hotel
